Video Servers

Mira+

Premium Replay System

Single and Dual-User Workflows

Share the workload by splitting or sharing Mira hardware resources. Two operators, each with their own Mira Control Surface, can either work independently on two separate live replay events, or can work together on the same live replay event and instantly share clips and playlists made from that event.

Protected to the Max

Maximum system reliability is ensured with dual-redundant, hot-swappable power supply modules that protect against power supply failures. For ease of maintenance, Mira+ also feature hot-swappable chassis fans and hot-swappable media drives. A new media drive that replaces a failed drive will automatically rebuild ‘in the background’ without affecting live recording and playback operations

Multi-Server Content Sharing

Cover larger events with more than 10 cameras by networking two or more Mira+ servers via 10G Ethernet — and then easily share content between servers with clips and highlights playlists streamed across the network and played from the local Mira+ PGM Player outputs.

Replay & Production in One Product

Mira+ supports both live instant replay and live production workflows by including several built-in User applications specifically tailored for both environments:

This User application is identical to the same application featured in our Tria+ Production video servers, and provides all the same live production capabilities and functionality. On those days you don’t need live instant replay — or need to support a mixed ‘live production’ and ‘live replay’ workflow, you can use any number of the video channels in Mira+ as a fully-featured live production video server. It’s like having two video server products in one!

This User application operates in conjunction with the Mira Control Surface panel to support multi-camera live instant replay operations, as well as multi-camera ‘live-to-disk’ editing workflows — either with very quick turn-around of clipped content and playlist play-out.

The built-in Media File Import tool with multiple Watch Folder functionality will ingest, transcode, resize, and convert the frame rate of a huge variety of media files — without the use of a video channel thereby allowing you to dedicate all your server’s expensive video channels to live recording and playback tasks.

This powerful feature operates while capturing one or more live video sources. It works by writing a continuously growing AVC-Intra Class 100 MXF media file for each live recording stream onto external network attached storage (NAS) — including any of the affordable Ross EVO Signature Series storage solutions.

From there, edit systems capable of editing with growing source files that are also connected to the NAS can begin editing with these growing files, even while live capture is still underway. This incredibly streamlined ‘live editing workflow’ saves both time and money; and gets your polished content played to air faster than ever before!

PIERO + Mira Integration

Combining our PIERO Broadcast sports analysis graphics system with the Mira replay system creates a seamlessly integrated live sports storytelling solution. No other solution comes close to matching the speed and efficiency of PIERO + Mira to generating captivating sports analysis graphics for live playout!

Ross DashBoard Integration

As a standard feature, Mira+ is tightly integrated within the Ross DashBoard ecosystem:

When Mira+ is added to the Basic Tree View in Ross DashBoard, the frame will immediately present multiple control panels that serve a variety of uses. You can control video channels in Mira+ using the ‘Explorer’ panel, or build simple, drag-and-drop custom panels using the ‘Palette’ panel.

In addition to pre-made control panels, connecting DashBoard to Mira+ provides a plethora of commands and parameters that can be used to construct sophisticated, customized control solutions known as ‘Custom Panels’.

By combining remote controls & parameter data from Mira+ with those of other Ross Video products, you can create unique and quite powerful solutions that are customized to your operational environment.

Comprehensive Remote Control

Mira+ supports multiple remote-control protocols, providing tight integration not only with Ross switchers, but also with a broad range of third-party switchers.

Most professional switcher manufacturers (including Ross) have integrated remote-control over Mira+ directly from the switcher’s control panel, which enables advanced features such as clip library review, clip selection, clip loading, playlist loading, and baseband live recording.

This level of tight integration between Mira+ and your production switcher simplifies your live production workflows and greatly reduces the possibility of on-air operational errors.

When Mira+ video channels are connected to a production switcher via dedicated RS-422 or networked Ethernet, the integrated system becomes even more productive.

Video+Key+Audio (VKA) clip loading and playback in Mira+ can be combined with production switcher transitions and effects, all effortlessly controlled directly from the production switcher’s control surface.

With comprehensive remote-control interface abilities and the fastest “clip load and play” response time possible, you can calmly rely upon Mira+ during those hectic moments of your live productions.
