Introducing the ULTRIX-MOD-NDI sub-module for the ULTRIX-MODX-IO board and OSG-8971 openGear card for video transport in modern production workflows
Ottawa, Canada – October 7, 2024 — Ross Video, a global leader in video production technology, will participate in NAB Show New York, which will take place October 9-10, 2024, at the Javits Center in NYC. NAB Show is the preeminent conference and exhibition driving the evolution of broadcast, media, and entertainment. Produced by the National Association of Broadcasters, it is the ultimate marketplace for next-generation technology, inspiring superior audio and video experiences.
Ross will be making two new product introductions at NAB Show New York: ULTRIX-MOD-NDI daughter card and OSG-8971 openGear card. The ULTRIX-MOD-NDI submodule enhances Ultrix’s flexibility by adding NDI as a new transport stream option. As a daughter card for the ULTRIX-MODX-IO board, the ULTRIX-MOD-NDI sub-module allows up to four encode and four decode of 1080p NDI streams, supporting up to 16 NDI streams per blade. This direct integration scales up to 256 NDI streams in 12RU, and eliminates the need for external conversion equipment, while still being able to support all the powerful integrated processing, such as multiviewers, production switchers, and video/audio processing tools that are available inside Ultrix.
The OSG-8971 is a groundbreaking openGear card for video transport in modern production workflows. This high-density encoder/decoder delivers reliable, low-latency SDI over SRT transmission, conquering the challenges of point-to-point and ground-to-cloud transport for cloud production, REMI, and geographically dispersed facilities. As an openGear solution, the OSG-8971 is designed for continuous, mission-critical operation and is centrally controlled and managed using DashBoard.
In addition to these new product introductions, Ross will be showcasing a number of products and solutions at booth 913:
- Hyperconverged Platform – Streamline your infrastructure with our range of solutions, including Ultrix, our award-winning 12G router, multiviewer, and signal processing platform. Ultrix offers the flexibility to accommodate SDI, IP, or Hybrid workflows, providing the best of both worlds.
- Production Workflow – A comprehensive end-to-end news and MOS workflow with Inception NRCS, Streamline Pro MAM, and Media I/O solutions. Inception integrates with news wires and various CMS. API and SDK are free for custom workflows. Streamline Pro integrates with Adobe Premiere and Edius for fast edits, including edit while capture. Media I/O offers scalable ingest and playback with a user-friendly web UI.
- Vision[Ai]ry – Vision[Ai]ry uses AI-based facial and body detection to locate and track the position of faces and bodies within the video stream directly from the camera.
“We are looking forward to being back at NAB Show New York again this year, and to meeting face-to-face with organizations to discuss their projects and give them the opportunity to get up close and personal with our solutions,” said Scott Bowditch, Vice President of Sales – North America of Ross Video. “AI is transforming the media industry, and at Ross we’re leading the way in integrating AI technology within our product portfolio. We’re excited to showcase these capabilities for NAB attendees.” If you are attending NAB Show New York, visit https://ross.video/3XRZqZc to book a meeting with our experts at booth 913.
